Title I Agreement
MISSION STATEMENT: The staff of Lorane Elementary School is committed to working together to provide a quality learning environment in which all children can learn and develop to their maximum potential.
This Title I Learning Compact defines the commitments for the school staff, parents, and students to work together toward improved student achievement in meeting state and district academic standards.
TITLE I READING SPECIALIST
Students are provided with an opportunity to achieve. Therefore, I will do the following:
- Provide quality teaching and leadership.
- Strive to address the individual needs of each child.
- Communicate with you about your child’s progress through parent conferences and/or progress reports, to the extent practicable in a language that family members can understand.
- Treat your child with dignity and respect.
STUDENT
It is important that I do the best that I can. Therefore, I will do the following:
- Always try to do my best work, and work carefully.
- Come to school each day, on time and ready to work.
- Complete homework assignments.
- Bring completed work and all other important papers home to my parents.
- Show respect for others.
- Be responsible for my own behavior.
- Ask my teachers for help when I need it.
- Believe that I can learn and I will learn.
PARENT/CAREGIVER
It is important to have my child reach his/her full academic potential. I understand that my participation in my child’s education will improve his/her achievement. I agree to fulfill the following responsibilities to the best of my ability:
- Provide a quiet place for my child to work.
- Review assignments with my child.
- Make sure my child attends school regularly.
- Spend at least 15 minutes enjoying reading with my child each day.
- Attend school functions, conferences and activities.
- Monitor my child’s use of technology.
- Offer help and advice when my child asks for it.
- Be a role model of reading and writing for my child.
